Mixer Map

"A 'signal-flow schematic' for regular people."

I set out to redesign the engineering specification that came with my 8-channel audio mixer for this self-chosen print project.

I concentrated on creating a map that was both clear at-a-glance and that also contained all of the detailed information present in the original engineering schematic. I chose to utilize a water metaphor in order to better communicate the flowing nature of the audio signals. You can view the original schematic along with my redesign at right.
