I had to be careful not to let my own experience with DJing software unduly influence the five-person team’s creative process. In the end, I believe it was the mix of my experience as a user of DJ applications and my teammates' unfamiliarity with the domain that allowed us to create a truly successful design.
In this project we were asked to design an application that would take advantage of the iPhone's unique interaction capabilities. So we built a DJ mixer, of course!
